Crochet Scarf and More!

Hi friends!

Happy February. I hope you enter this new month full of the same hope and love for life that you started this year with. It is the best time of year to give and receive love to those who are important, so don’t wait for the 14th to be inspired, start now and make it a month-long experience.

This weekend was so great. The weather was really nice and I just could not resist going outside and catching some sun, and took a few pics too 😉 .

SOOTD: The classic T-shirt dress made modern by a high-low hem line from Target. I threw a Guess coat over it which I got from Burlington some time ago. A pair of boots and a classy purse complete the look. Oh and let us not forget those sunnies, love them.

Today’s post will focus on another crafty love if mine. Crochet! I grew up with this craft, as yes you guessed it, my mom taught me the basics and YouTube has supplied me with endless improvements and ideas. Truly I would be lost without the inter-webs lol.

Living in MN where we have some really cold winters, I love to make throws for the living room, scarves and hats too. Using colors that complement my decor and threads that are so soft to the touch it feels like you are wrapped in butter, ooooh. I made one extra long one in green and white for the hubs since he is tallish and I made a pink/green one for me. These are also great to gift for new moms and for the holidays or just because.

I also have make a couple of pillowcases for the couches in the living room from this fabuous remnant fabric I found at Hancock Fabrics. Full price it would cost about $49.99 for a yard of this but I got 7/8th of a yard for about $4.50 SCORE. I really love the design.

Last and coolest is this scarf I found a tutorial for HERE. Wow it is something else. All chunky and fashionable with POCKETS and fringe. Love everything that has pockets. It was also really quick and easy to make. And as I type I have it on now and I am planning on making a few more.

Adding a little sewing to the mix, I made the blue polka dot leggings I am wearing. I am still learning how to construct pants/leggings that fit right, more on that later. Fingers crossed that light bulb comes on soon.

That is all for today with lots of Love. Share, Like and most definitely Comment if you see something that inspired you or that you liked.

Peace Love ♥ and Kisses!
