Vivid Color and Prints

Hello my lovely friends. It is another beautiful day and time to make more happy memories. An attitude of real and honest gratitude for all the things we have in life will always help renew us and prepare us to face what ever comes. So wake up in the morning and thank God and see change.

The first dress today, I grabbed because I needed to make something really quickly with little or no tweaking so McCalls 7121 was it. This is one of the easiest dresses I have made from a pattern and I love how quickly it came together. The fabric is a two way rayon knit. Seam lines dont match as I would like, neckline and back are a little loose so I will have to edit the pattern a bit for a better fit next time. I will definitely be making more of these as it is a great closet builder.

The minute I saw McCalls 7246  I knew I had to make it. It looked so classy with a little hint of sexy! I made view D and skipped the pockets. I can see it a bit shorter for spring in view C which has no sleeves and with a lighter fabric. I got this blue animal print knit fabric on sale at Hancock Fabrics. I still have some left over and am thinking of making something else fun with it. It is so warm and cozy! Sweater maybe?

Also my first time doing a two piece sleeve with a facing. Love!

I love these shoes!

TIP: The facing of the neckline and the sleeve, in the blue dress, kept flapping around and were hard to stay in place so I used some iron on Stitch Witchery to keep it all in place and it worked great.

I kept the styling for both outfits pretty simple. Hope you enjoyed them. Until next time, Peace, Love ♥ and Kisses.
