Red

Hi lovely friends! I hope your week so far has been full of good.

Today is special because this dress means something more than just stitching fabric together. I made it for the Red Hot Dress Contest for  Sewing Pattern Review which is a site that I love. It brings awareness to women’s heart health. This dress represents the spirit of a woman’s heart, versatile, loving, complex, playful…you name it.

It is a combination of two pieces, which is why I love Butterick 5919. I combined the top of view A and the bottom of view B and skipped the bow. It is versatile and needs just enough skill to be challenging but not impossible.  I added pockets and a pretty hook closure. Love pockets always.

I styled this outfit with a cute graphic clutch and pair of sky high black pumps. Simple earrings with no necklace, as I find the fabric to be a bold enough statement.

I still wish very much I could do an outdoor shoot, but despite my good intentions, Minnesota does not cooperate. Spring is round the corner though and I cant wait. Hope you enjoyed this post. This is for all the women out there with heart disease and everyone else, take care of your hearts ladies!

Peace Love ♥ and Kisses!
