DIY T-Shirt Dress!!! * McCalls 6886

Hello Lovely people! Hope summer is going well for you all so far. I have been creating a storm and will have lots of good stuff to share a I go. Today I am going simple with this wildly popular pattern. I can see why everyone is rushing to make a dress with this pattern McCalls 6886. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and there are no closures (zipper, buttons etc…) YAY! I found this lovely fabric in the clearance bin a while ago and they just had about 1.25 yards of it, I loved the print though and I knew it would be great to work with.

I could not resist taking some snaps on this luscious green grass! This is why I love spring and summer in MN, so much color and new life after the cold.

This is my review of this pattern: McCalls 6886

Pattern Sizing and Views: This pattern comes in sizes 6 – 22. I cut a size 14 and graded the bottom to an 18. I made view E.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy to follow. If you are a sewing newbie and want to learn knits, how to make a v-neck and something simple that teaches both, this pattern is perfect.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I have been eyeing this pattern for a long long time and I know the possibilities are endless.

Fabric Used: A textured knit with a tribal print.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Aside from grading the pattern gather all of my curves, I made no alterations.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will definitely sew this again! Lots of them.

This dress is more casual so I paired it with flats. The purse is a find I got recently from TJ Maxx and I LOVE it!

I will definitely be making more of this dress in all lengths available. Hope you enjoyed the post. Peace Love ♥ and Kisses.
