Good morning friends. It is another brr day in Minnesota and the weekend is shaping up to be a warm one so I am looking forward to that. Today I bring you a double dose of DIY loveliness :). I will say, I have become a rapid stitcher, YAY! Dresses that used to take 4 days to put together only take one day now. I am signed up to learn more this year so soon that time will be cut in half or less. Fingers crossed.
The first outfit is this dress I made fromย Vogue 9147ย . It is a lovely dress with a bit of color blocking on the pockets, sleeves and collar. I love the drama the collar brings to this design. Skill level for sewing this is a little more than beginner sewing. I went with a mix of Ankara fabric for the dress body and blocked with coordinating denim fabric I had on hand. Check it out
The second piece for today is a flowy top made out of a cute black fabric with a unique design of colored hollow polka dots. This is Simplicity 8169.It has a skinny pussy bow and is extremely easy to put together. I love making blouses. If the right fabric is used and styled the right way, it always pops.
Kisses my loves! Hope you enjoyed this one. Until the next time…Peace Love and Kisses.
Both garments are lovely and fit is perfect. Truly love the dress, great colors and fabric!
